Multiple fire departments are on-scene of a open water rescue on Pistakee Lake near 4018 Pitzen Rd in Johnsburg. Fire department was originally called to the scene at around 3:45 PM today for a report of multiple people in the water. One person did not make it out of the water per scanner traffic.

They had requested MABAS Box alarm to the 1st level. Shortly after, they had then requested a 2nd alarm on Box #5-1286. Some of the fire boats were originally launching from the Ben Watts Marina.

Command had advised they were in recover mode. At around 4:35 PM, fire department had advised they had recovered the body. MABAS 2nd alarm was then struck out and cancelled en-route companies.

Separate to this incident, a fire department boat was reported to have overturned in the water. It is not believed to be any injuries from the overturned fire boat. The fire department boat that overturned is possibly Fox Lake Fire. They had requested assistance to upright the boat.

Update at 5:36 PM: Three total subjects who were in the water. The patient who was recovered from the water was reported not conscious and not breathing. The two other subjects were not injured.

Update: Subject who was pulled from the water is dead.
