Coroner IDs woman killed in Lakemoor crash

(PATCH.COM) — The Lake County Coroner’s Office has identified the 46-year-old Round Lake Beach woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lakemoor Monday afternoon as Rosalba Bocarando.

The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Route 120 and Volo Village Road.

The driver of an SUV was attempting to turn left from Volo Village Road onto eastbound Route 120 when the vehicle was struck by a pickup truck, which was westbound on Route 120, according to a news release from the Lakemoor Police Department.

Bocarando was driving the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the pickup truck, a 32-year-old McHenry man, was taken to a local hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Preliminary findings from an autopsy Tuesday revealed Bocarando died from multiple traumatic injuries, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Toxicology results are pending.
