Woodstock FPD was dispatched at approximately 6:40 pm to a report of a barn fire at 16812 Kunde rd in Union. Command upgraded to a 2nd alarm shortly after and then now at 7:40 pm it is at a 3rd alarm on Box #5-73, and then upgraded to tenders only 4th alarm. Right now command reporting fully involved large outbuilding equipment barn. This is units due are: units due: engines: Woodstock, Crystal Lake, Marengo, Wauconda. Tenders: Woodstock, Marengo, Richmond, Lakewood (unavailable), Union, Mchenry, Cary, Nunda rural, Hebron, Richmond, Hampshire. Trucks: Woodstock, Algonquin. Squads: Woodstock, Harvard, Wonder Lake, Mchenry w/cascade. EMS: Woodstock. Chiefs: Woodstock, Huntley (RIC), Marengo, Harvard. Special equipment: Huntley (RIC), EMA, Salvation army canteen. COQ: to station 1: Mchenry tender, Fox lake engine, Marengo ems, Woodstock chief, Nunda rural tender, Spring Grove. We will try and provide any updates we hear on the scanner.
Update at 8:15 pm: Command requesting 5th alarm for engines only on Box #5-73, engines due are Rutland Dundee & Walworth WI.
Update at 9:00 pm: I/C has struck out 5th alarm on box # 5-73.
