The Lake County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call at around 8:38 PM Wednesday night for a report of shots fired into a house at 34400 Block North Eastings Way in Gurnee. Dispatch advised that the caller reported one shot into the back of his house.
While units were en route to the call, dispatch advised they had received another call about shots being fired into the back of their house a couple houses down. No vehicle description was immediately available, and no injuries are being reported at this time.
Upon further investigation, Lake County Sheriff reported it appeared it was a rifle used as the bullets penetrated through several doors and walls in the house. They also reported that it looked like the shots came from Washington St and hit the rear of both houses. They then closed off Eastbound traffic on Washington Street.
No further updates that could endanger law enforcement will be given for their safety unless the suspect(s) are in custody.

UPDATE: According to the Lake County News-Sun, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed there was a 911 call for a shots fired incident in the 34000 Block of North Eastings Way in Gurnee. Sgt. Sara Balmes confirmed it, and said the call came in around 8:35 PM last night, Wednesday.

Although, Sgt. Balmes said that the office wouldn’t immediately provide additional details as to what happen, and that it is still under investigation. They will not be releasing any more details on this incident at this time.
