The Mundelein Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire at Rt 45 & Sullivan Drive on Tuesday at around 3:10 PM. Mundelein Quint 432 was initially due, and Chief 4101 from Countryside Fire also went en-route. Per dispatch, there were multiple 911 calls reporting a car fire.
While en-route, Chief 4101 reported seeing a header in the sky from the fire. Upon arrival of Vernon Hills Police Department, they reported the vehicle was fully involved, on Sullivan Drive off of Rt 45. At 3:20 PM, command reported water was on the fire.
Update: At 3:24 PM, command is reporting fire is out, overhaul in progress.
