The Lake Zurich Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire on Tuesday afternoon at around 2:25 PM. It was reported as a roof on fire at 10 Hidden Oaks Lane West in North Barrington. Lake Zurich, Barrington-Countryside, Long Grove, Countryside, Palatine, Lincolnshire, Wheeling, and Wauconda Fire Departments were dispatched.
Upon arrival of Engine 2 and Battalion 206, Battalion 206 was in command of a confirmed working residential roof fire in a 2 story single family home. Engine 2 laid a line and began working to extinguish the fire. Additional companies arrived and assisted with extinguishing the fire. Around 10 minutes later, Battalion 206 reported the fire was under control and companies were in the process of overhaul.
