The Lake Villa Fire Department were dispatched for a report of a gas grill explosion with exposure at 618 Deerpath Drive in Lindenhurst at around 2:40 PM Tuesday afternoon. Engine 243, Ladder 241, Engine 242, and Battalion 24 were dispatched.

While en-route, dispatch advised the caller reported a large amount of smoke from the rear of the structure. Upon arrival of Battalion 24, he reported a working fire, smoke and fire showing from the rear of the house. At 2:48 PM, command advised the fire was under control, and for Engine 243 to return.
