The Antioch Fire Department were dispatched at about 4:23 PM Tuesday night for a report of an accident with injuries at Rt 83 & First St. Upon arrival of Battalion 21, he reported four vehicles involved with minor damage. Engine 211, Ambulance 211, and Battalion 21 were due. Shortly after, Engine 211 requested two more ambulances, bringing it to three total ambulances. Chief 2102, Battalion 21, Heavy Rescue 212, Engine 211, Ambulance 211, Ambulance 212, and Ambulance 213 are all currently on scene. Change of quarters ambulance was then requested from Lake Villa. There may be entrapment as Heavy Rescue 212 was en-route, although it is unconfirmed so far. The extent of the injuries are currently unknown and the accident is still under investigation. Check back later for updates.
