Huntley teen charged with armed robbery of McHenry payday loan store

(NORTHWEST HERALD) — A Huntley teen has been charged in the Thursday morning armed robbery of a payday loan store, McHenry police said.

The man, 19-year-old Alize Q. L. Smith, 11368 Timer Drive, Unit 2A, threatened store employees with a BB gun before taking more than $10,000 in currency, McHenry Police Chief John Jones said.

McHenry Police Deputy Chief John Birk said police responded at 8:43 a.m. Thursday to the Payday Loan Store, 810 N. Front St., for a report of a robbery.
