(PRESS RELEASE) — The Vernon Hills Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred in the Deerpath subdivision.
The incident occurred on Monday, September 12 in the 200 block of Ashland Court. It’s currently believed that the address, but not the current residents of that address, was specifically targeted and was not randomly chosen.
There is no reason to believe there is a threat to any other residents police said.
The incident is under investigation and the Vernon Hills Police Department will be releasing additional information in the next day or two.
