The Winthrop Harbor Fire Department and Flight For Life responded to a serious injury crash on Friday in Winthrop Harbor.
The vehicle crash happened at 9th Street and Lewis Ave in Winthrop Harbor at around 4:30 p.m.
Crews worked to free the victim(s) that was trapped in the car.
One of the victims in the crash was seriously injured and a Flight For Life helicopter was called to transport the victim to a trauma center.
The medical helicopter landed at Village Park in Winthrop Harbor and then transported the injured victim to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
The crash is currently under investigation and it’s unknown how it was caused.
