**UPDATE 6/23/17: The man has been identified and reunited with family police say.**

The Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man unable to communicate who was found on the side of the road in Barrington Township.

The subject was found on the side of the road near Lake Cook Road and Ela Road in Barrington Township Wednesday evening. The man is unable to speak or communicate according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department.

Police describe him as a white male approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighing about 160 lbs. He has blue eyes and brown hair and is in his mid-thirties to early-forties.

The subject has no visible scars, marks, or tattoos nor did he have any identification or items on his person to help identify him.

Officials say that he has bandages on each of his arms which makes them believe he may have been recently treated a medical facility.

He was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington for evaluation.
