The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and the U.S. Marshals apprehended a man wanted for burglary who tried to hide from them on Thursday.
Sheriff’s officials said that Devyn D. Cedzidlo, 19, of the 9700 block of Bonner Lane in Spring Grove, was wanted on a felony warrant for residential burglary in Round Lake Beach and also a failure to appear arrest warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance in Lindenhurst.
Sgt. Christopher Covelli of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that in June members of the Sheriff’s Warrants Team began apprehension efforts of Cedzildo and at that time he fled from Illinois to Iowa.
“On August 2nd, members of the Sheriff’s Warrants Team developed information indicating Cedzidlo was likely back home at his Bonner Lane residence. On August 3rd, members of the Sheriff’s Warrants Team and USMS-GLRFTF located Cedzidlo inside of his Spring Grove residence,” Sgt. Covelli said.
According sheriff’s officials, “Upon seeing members of the Warrants Team, Cedzidlo retreated to the basement of the residence and locked himself inside of a storage closet. Warrants Deputies breached the locked door and successfully apprehended Cedzidlo without further incident.”
Cedzidlo was transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains held on a $250,000 bond. He’s due in court on August 11 at 1:30 p.m..
