A man and woman were taken into custody after police found cocaine and cash during a search warrant at a house in Beach Park on Thursday.

Zion Police conducted a drug investigation during a search warrant in the 38000 block of Green Bay Road in Beach Park. Officers recovered cocaine and cash during the warrant search.

The target of the search warrant, Joshua P. Malombo, 30, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a park, unlawful possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, according to Zion Police.

Malombo was taken to bond court on Friday and is being held on a $750,000 bond. His next court date is August 15 at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom C-120. According to court records, Malombo has previous charges for traffic violations, domestic battery, weapons, sexual assault, and other offenses.

Officials said that Breanna A. Joplin was also arrested during the warrant. She was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $15,000.

According to court records, both suspects arrested were each charged with possessing between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine.
