Two people are dead after a domestic incident at a home in Gurnee Friday evening, police said.

At about 5:30 p.m. the Gurnee Police Department was called to the 4200 block of Harper Ave in Gurnee for a reported domestic situation.

Gurnee police said that officers located two males who were dead upon their arrival. They said that a preliminary investigation reveals that this is a contained incident and no danger exists to the community.

According to police scanner traffic, the call came in as a shots fired / domestic disturbance call.

The Gurnee Police Department said they requested the assistance of the Lake County Major Crime Task Force.

The task force and Gurnee Detectives are investigating and working with the Lake County Coroner’s Office, officials said.
