Two McHenry County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were involved in separate crashes Wednesday morning just minutes apart in Woodstock.

At around 6:26 a.m., the Woodstock Fire Rescue District was called to the scene of a crash involving a McHenry County Sheriff’s Office vehicle and another vehicle at Route 14 and Lake Avenue in Woodstock.

The sheriff’s vehicle was turning left from the southbound lanes of Lake Avenue to eastbound Route 14 when it was struck by another vehicle who ran a red light going westbound on Route 14. The driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene for driving on a suspended license. One person was transported with minor injuries to the hospital from the crash but officials would not say who it was.

While sheriff’s deputies were responding to assist in the first crash, another sheriff’s vehicle was involved in an accident at Route 47 and Route 120 in Woodstock at 6:31 a.m. while that deputy was responding to the first crash.
