A Libertyville man is facing multiple charges after police raided his apartment and found a large amount of drugs and cash.

Patrick Stuart Skinner, 23, of 350 Brainerd Avenue Apartment #6A in Libertyville, was found in possession of 1,000 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 1,600 grams of codeine, 700 grams of marijuana, and 3.5 “hits” of LSD after police raided his apartment during a search warrant.

At around 6:00 p.m. on August 15, Libertyville police and the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG) executed a search warrant at Skinner’s apartment following an ongoing investigation by investigators.

Police said they also seized $91,422 in cash in the search. Skinner faces several drug-related charges, including two Class X felonies, as well as several traffic citations. He was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful manufacturing or distribution of marijuana.

Court records show that on Monday the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office filed asset forfeiture paperwork on the money Skinner was found in possession of.

Skinner was taken to the Lake County Jail and is currently being held on a $1 million bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court on September 13.
