A rollover vehicle accident injured two people, one seriously, Sunday morning in McHenry, officials said.

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was called at around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday to a report of a rollover vehicle accident with entrapment in the 1400 block of Crystal Lake Road near Mason Hill Road in McHenry.

Fire crews arrived and found a Dodge Ram on its roof about 75 feet off of the roadway. Two people were in the vehicle, a 23-year-old driver and a 30-year-old passenger. Both were injured and transported to Centegra Hospital-McHenry.

Flight For Life was requested to standby at their helipad base at Centegra Hospital-McHenry to transfer the driver of the vehicle to a trauma center. However, it’s unclear if they actually transported or not once the ambulance got to the hospital with the victim.

McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
