UPDATE: Missing 60-year-old man found safe.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 60-year-old man from Wadsworth.
Authorities said that John K. Shaffstall was last seen on Monday. He went missing from the 5600 block of Hanssen Road in Wadsworth. Shaffstall was reported missing to police Tuesday.
He was last seen walking away from his residence at around 9:00 a.m. on Monday. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that his family has concerns regarding his physical and mental well-being. He does not have a cellphone.
On Monday when Shaffstall was last seen, he was walking northbound on Frontage Road in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin near I-94 and 104th Street at around 12:45 p.m..
He was seen wearing a heavy leather jacket, blue jeans, and brown moccasins. He’s 6 feet tall and 155 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a grey mustache.
Sheriff’s officials said that it’s possible Shaffstall may be attempting to walk to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. If you see Shaffstall, please call 911.
