A horse escaped and ran loose throughout Wauconda on Tuesday, police said.

A dashcam video was posted by the Wauconda Police Department on their Facebook page of one of their police officers trying to chase after the horse in a police car.

Police said that the horse was eventually caught successfully with the help of two citizens. The horse was uninjured.

The Wauconda Police Department also posted the above photo on their Facebook page captioned, “Thank you to Nick Willis and Alix Keelan for their assistance wrangling the horse”.
