Two men were killed and another was injured after a single-vehicle crash in unincorporated McHenry on Saturday, the coroner said.

McHenry Fire and Rescue and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at 11:48 p.m. on Saturday for a reported single-vehicle crash at 1402 South Lily Lake Road in unincorporated McHenry.

McHenry County Coroner Dr. Anne Majewski said that two men were found dead in the crash. One of them was ejected from the vehicle and the second was trapped in the vehicle and needed to be extrication.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene at 12:05 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities said that a third male was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

McHenry County Coroner Dr. Anne Majewski said that the autopsies will be performed Monday afternoon. Dr. Anne Majewski also said that the names of the victims will be released after notification is made to the family members.

The crash is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Investigation Unit.
