A Zion man is in custody after he allegedly stabbed another man and sexually assaulted a woman during a home invasion in Zion, police said.

The Zion Police Department responded to a 911 call just after midnight on Friday to a report of a stabbing in the 2700 block of Galilee Avenue in Zion. When police officers arrived they found a Zion man who had multiple stab wounds to the neck, chest, and abdomen. They also located a woman who had been sexually assaulted.

The man was transported by Zion Fire and Rescue to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was reportedly in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

The Zion Police Department said that D’Javon Hudson, 24, of Zion, was arrested inside the apartment by police officers. The knife used in the stabbing was recovered.

Authorities said that Hudson knew the woman. They also said that he entered the apartment by going through an open window where he then attacked the two victims.
