The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that the missing Volo boy has been found safe at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Chase Johnson, 16, of the 300 block of Shelbourne Road in Volo, was reported missing by his family on Friday. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that Chase’s family reported he left his home at around 5:30 p.m..
According to Chase’s mom on Facebook, “Police began searching last night with no luck. We have called all his friends, gone to their homes, checked his phone and snapchat for leads. Zero luck. Chase has no phone or money on him and is 16 years old.”
“He suffers from some emotional issues and asthma… He was last seen walking down Callahan Road towards Wauconda from Volo at around 5pm yesterday,” she continued.
Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives located Chase at approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning and they said that he is safe. No additional details have been released.
“The Lake County Sheriff’s Office thanks all of the community members who offered to help and shared social media posts,” officials said in a statement.
