A burglary suspect was found sleeping in a car in Antioch early Tuesday morning, sheriff’s officials said.

At around 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Lake County Sheriffโ€™s deputies responded to the 42600 block of North Lake Drive in Antioch Township for a burglary to a vehicle. While investigating the incident, sheriffโ€™s deputies located Sean Campbell, 32, of the 42200 block of North 7th Avenue in Antioch Township, sleeping in a nearby car.

Authorities said that sheriffโ€™s deputies determined Campbell was responsible for the burglary to a vehicle and found him in possession of items from the burglary. Campbell was arrested and transported to the Lake County Sheriffโ€™s Criminal Investigations Division, officials said.

Sheriffโ€™s deputies and sheriffโ€™s detectives determined Campbell was responsible for several other recent burglaries in the area, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Campbell was then charged with five counts of burglary (class 2 felonies) and one count of theft (class A misdemeanor).

Campbell remains held at the Lake County Jail on a $30,000 bond. His next court date is October 23 at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom C-120.
