A suspect is in custody following a robbery at the First Midwest Bank in Zion Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at around noon on Wednesday at the First Midwest Bank at 3303 Sheridan Road in Zion, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A male suspect walked into the bank and demanded money. He then fled the scene. Shortly after 3:00 p.m., FBI Media Coordinator Garrett H. Croon said in a statement that a suspect was taken into custody.

Authorities described it as a “non-takeover robbery”. No further information about the robbery was available.
