Lake County Sheriff’s Office authorities and the U.S. Marshals arrested a wanted gang member during a warrant in Round Lake Park.
On Thursday members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team, Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, and U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, apprehended Joshua A. Jackson, 20, of the 500 block of Golfview Drive in Round Lake Park.
Jackson, who’s a documented street gang member, was wanted on a felony warrant for aggravated battery (class 3 felony). The warrant was issued on September 20 and resulted from an investigation by the Round Lake Police Department, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Warrants Team located Jackson at his residence early morning on October 5. He was taken into custody at his residence without incident, authorities said.
“The Warrants Team found Jackson to be in possession of body armor and continue to investigate how Jackson acquired the armor,” the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Jackson remains held at the Lake County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is next due in court on October 12 at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom C-120.
