Two brothers were arrested during a search warrant in Buffalo Grove after police found drugs in the house.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department executed a search warrant early Tuesday morning in the 400 block of Gregg Lane in Buffalo Grove. The warrant resulted in the arrest of two brothers, officials said.

Police seized approximately 2.2 pounds of cannabis and cannabis wax, approximately 1 gram of cocaine, multiple prescription pills, and various drug paraphernalia.

Dustin Gutierrez, 18, was charged with manufacturing and delivering cannabis in excess of 500 grams (class 2 felony), possession of cannabis (class 3 felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (class A misdemeanor).

Martin Gutierrez, 22, was charged with manufacturing and delivering cannabis between 100-500 grams (class 3 felony), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (class 4 felonies), possession of cannabis (class 4 felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (class A misdemeanor).

Authorities said that a search warrant was obtained after they received tips from residents in the area. The residents said that they saw hand-to-hand drug transactions and large amounts of vehicle traffic to and from the residence.

The search warrant was executed with Buffalo Grove Police and the department K-9 unit. The brothers were scheduled to appear in Cook County Bond Court in Rolling Meadows on Wednesday.
