A Zion man and a North Chicago woman have been arrested and charged after Zion police officers found a gun and cocaine during a search warrant Friday, officials said.
On Friday, the Zion Police Department conducted a search warrant at a home in the 2900 block of Gabriel Avenue in Zion. Authorities said that police officers recovered a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun that was stolen, ammunition, and crack cocaine. The handgun had been stolen out of Kenosha, Wisconsin, police said.
During the search warrant, police officers arrested Xzavier Booker, 29, of Zion, and Breana Wesley, 18, of North Chicago.
Booker was charged with unlawful use/possession of a weapon by felon and possession of a stolen firearm. He was held on a $75,000 bond. Wesley was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and she was held on a $25,000 bond.
