A 19-year-old man is facing charges after he ran from police after he was allegedly involved in a fight with his girlfriend in Libertyville.
At around 7:00 p.m. on October 8, the Libertyville Police Department responded to the 100 block of South Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville after receiving multiple reports of a dispute between a man and a woman. When police arrived they located the man who then ran from police officers. Police chased him and took him into custody on the North Shore Bike Path, officials said.
Christopher J. Slater, 19, of 705 South Milwaukee Avenue #209 in Libertyville, was charged with resisting a peace officer and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was processed and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending his October 18 court date at the Lake County Courthouse.
Slater’s 16-year-old girlfriend was located at her home where she was found to be under the influence of alcohol and also in possession of tobacco.
Slater’s girlfriend was released to her mother on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending her court date on November 15 at the Mundelein Branch Court.
