A 30-year-old man died after being shot in unincorporated Grayslake early Saturday morning, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, Lake County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters/paramedics were called to the 33300 block of North Lone Rock Road in unincorporated Grayslake for a report of shots fired.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found a 30-year-old Zion man shot and critically injured. The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that preliminary information indicates that this was not a random shooting.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division and Lake County Major Crime Task Force are investigating the shooting.
