Two men have been charged with selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a Woodstock school following a two month investigation by police.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Police Narcotics Task Force conducted an undercover investigation into two Woodstock men, Timmy Horn, 25, and Maurice Timberlake, 18, after police received multiple complaints of drug activity in the Woodstock area.

Over the last two months the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said that detectives made numerous undercover buys from the two men. Authorities said that after the investigation was over they seized 8 grams of crack cocaine, which has an estimated street value of $1,200.

Authorities said that the two men sold cocaine within 1,000 feet of Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center in Woodstock.

Horn was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school (class X and class 3 felonies), unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school (class 1 felony), unlawful delivery of controlled substance (class 1), unlawful delivery of controlled substance (class 2), and three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (class 4 felony). His bond was set at $30,000.

Timberlake was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school (class X felony), unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school (class 1 felony), unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (class 1 felony), unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (class 3 felony), and 2 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (class 4 felony). He is next scheduled to appear in court on November 13. His bond was set at $50,000.
