The Waukegan Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two teenagers injured in Waukegan Thursday afternoon.
The Waukegan Police Department was called at 2:30 p.m. Thursday to the 1400 block of West Dugdale Road in Waukegan for a report of a shooting. Police officers arrived and found two victims that had been shot.
Authorities said that both victims were boys in their mid-teens and are Waukegan residents. Both of the victims suffered from non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the legs and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Detectives with the Waukegan Police Department Criminal Investigations Division are investigating the incident. Officials said there is no threat to the public; however, no additional information has been released.
