Authorities said that there were three District 47 students on the small school bus who were on their way to West Elementary school. They were transferred to another bus and taken to the school following the crash, the Northwest Herald said.

Sheriff’s officials said that the male school bus driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
