A Crystal Lake physical therapist has been charged with battery after allegedly touching his client’s breasts during a massage, police said.

The Crystal Lake Police Department said that an investigation was started on September 27 after a woman reported that she was inappropriately touched while undergoing treatment at a local pain rehabilitation center.

The victim told police officers she had scheduled an appointment with Master Pain Practitioner Michael Lim at Advanced Pain Rehab, 7115 Virginia Road Suite 122 in Crystal Lake.

While receiving pain treatment on her second scheduled appointment on September 26, Lim offered to perform a massage on the victim, authorities said. As Lim was administering the massage, he allegedly placed his hands on her bare breasts, according to police.

The Crystal Lake Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit conducted the investigation and worked with the McHenry County States Attorney’s Office. On November 16, an arrest warrant was issued for Michael Lim, 39,  of Huntley, for a class A misdemeanor charge of battery.
