One person was transported to the hospital after a rollover crash caused a power outage in Riverwoods Friday morning.

The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District and Riverwoods Police Department responded around 6:15 a.m. on Friday to a rollover crash with a person trapped at Saunders Road and Riverwoods Road.

Police said that a driver heading southbound on Saunders Road lost control of the car and rolled it over. NBC5 aerial footage from the scene shows the car on its roof tangled up in a utility pole and trees about 50 feet off the roadway.

The utility pole had been split in half and some area residents were left without power while ComEd works on repairs. ComEd said that repairs are estimated to be completed by 7 p.m. Friday night.

The roadway has since been reopened and authorities said that the driver of the car was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
