A man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested after police were called to an argument between two women both claiming an Uber vehicle at a Libertyville bar.
The Libertyville Police Department was called at 3 a.m. on Saturday to the Island Tap, 112 East Cook Avenue in Libertyville, for a report of a disturbance.
Authorities said that when police officers arrived they found four people outside of the bar in the parking lot. Two females in the group of people were arguing over an Uber vehicle, police said. Both women were claiming that the Uber vehicle that arrived was theirs.
Libertyville police said that when they were questioning the group of four people, they found that one of the people, Giovanni L. Thompson, 21, of 545 Park Avenue in Libertyville, was wanted on multiple warrants issued by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Police officials said that the warrants were for obstructing justice, fleeing to elude and reckless driving. Thompson was arrested at the scene by police and transported to the Libertyville Police Department.
He was unable to post the required 10% of the $40,000 bond for the three warrants and was transported to the Lake County Jail to await bond court.
