A Chicago man is being held at the McHenry County Jail after he was arrested last Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a child under the age of 13 in August.
Dominic J. Chess, 33, of Chicago, was arrested on December 4 on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a family member under the age of 18 and domestic battery, both are felony charges.
According to the Northwest Herald, Island Lake Police Department Sgt. Bill Dickerson said on Friday that police received a report on August 7 that a child had been sexually abused days earlier.
“One instance of abuse involving one alleged victim was reported to police,” Sgt. Dickerson told the Northwest Herald. No additional information was released by police.
As of Sunday, Chess remained held in the McHenry County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court next on January 26.
