A man was found shot to death at a Walmart in Waukegan on Monday night, police said.

The Waukegan Police Department was called around 6 p.m. to a report of a traffic crash and shots fired call in the Walmart parking lot at 3900 Fountain Square Place.

According to police radio traffic, the victim was hit by a vehicle and shot. The victim had a head injury and CPR was being performed before firefighters/paramedics arrived. The man was later declared dead at the scene.

Police were reportedly looking for three suspect vehicles and seven suspects who fled the scene.

Police said that the incident was isolated and they do not believe there is any danger to the public. They said that the victim was targeted.

No additional information has been released yet. The investigation is ongoing by the Waukegan Police Department.
