The Waukegan Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at Waukegan Gyro that occurred late Wednesday night.

The Waukegan Police Department was called at 9 p.m. Wednesday to Waukegan Gyro, 1210 Golf Road in Waukegan, for a report of an armed robbery. When police arrived, the employees confirmed the restaurant was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects.

The suspects entered the business and demanded money at gunpoint, police said. Both suspects were armed with handguns.

According to police, both suspects had their faces concealed and are described as being a larger build, both in the 6-foot range. One suspect had a red hoodie and the other had a black hoodie. Both suspects fled the business on foot.
