Police said that a Woodstock man has been charged with multiple felonies after he allegedly sexually assaulted a girl under 13.
Daniel W. Pollet, 35, of 1400 Commons Drive #2H in Woodstock, was charged with one felony count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The Woodstock Police Department said that investigators were notified on December 4 by Centegra Hospital – Huntley of a possible sexual assault involving a girl under the age of 13.
Police said that a member from the Woodstock Police Department’s Investigation Division, the McHenry County Child Advocacy Center (CAC), and the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office met at the Child Advocacy Center.
Authorities said that the McHenry County Child Advocacy Center conducted a forensic interview with the victim. During the interview, the victim said that the suspect had sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions.
Police said that Pollet is known by the victim’s family but is not related to the victim.
Pollet was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday at the Walworth County Courthouse in Walworth, Wisconsin while attending a separate court case. He remains in custody at the Walworth County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois. Police said his bond is $100,000.
