Three people were hospitalized with critical injuries after a two-vehicle crash in unincorporated Woodstock Saturday morning.

The Northwest Herald reported that the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called at 9:40 a.m. to a report of a vehicle crash with injuries in the 9400 block of West Route 120 in unincorporated Woodstock.

According to an alert by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on Route 120 between Greenwood Road and Thompson Road.

Fire crews arrived and found two vehicles involved with heavy damage. One person had to be extricated from the vehicle, the Herald reported. Three people were transported to Centegra Hospital – McHenry with critical injuries.

A Flight For Life medical helicopter landed at the scene but did not transport any of the victims, the Herald reported.

The road has been shutdown for several hours, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said. No information has been released about how the crash happened or who was involved.
