Lake Forest police have released surveillance photos of the suspect who robbed a Lake Forest bank on Saturday, and is also believed to be the same suspect who robbed a Deerfield bank.
The Lake Forest Police Department responded on Saturday to a bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank, 990 South Waukegan Road in Lake Forest. Police said a man entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. The suspect fled the scene on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said that the suspect was a male white, late-20s to mid-30s, 5-foot-9 toย 6 foot, 180-210 lbs, wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket, a dark hat and mask, white gloves and tan duck boots.
The Deerfield Police Department responded to a bank robbery a week earlier on December 29 at theย Deerfield Bank & Trust at 660 Deerfield Road. Police said that a man walked in and took a slip of paper and wrote, “I need your money now!” and gave it to the teller.
He took more than $5,000 and fled towards a nearby neighborhood.
The FBI said the suspect is believed to be the same one in both robberies. During both incidents a weapon was implied but not seen, police said.
