An SUV and a bus collided in Woodstock Thursday morning, injuring eight people, fire officials said.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was called around 8:15 a.m. Thursday to the area of Franklinville Road and Perkins Road in unincorporated Woodstock for a report of a bus crash.

The Northwest Herald reported that a white SUV and a white unmarked small bus were involved in the t-bone crash. Eight people were transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Centegra Hospital-McHenry, Centegra Hospital-Huntley, and Centegra Hospital-Woodstock.

Surrounding roads were shutdown for over an hour but were re-opened at 9:40 a.m., the Herald reported.

The crash is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. Firefighters/paramedics from Crystal Lake, Huntley, Fox River Grove, Cary, Nunda Rural, Marengo, Harvard, and Union assisted the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District at the scene.
