Lucio Cambray, 18, of Waukegan

The Lake County Coroner found during an autopsy that there were no signs of trauma on the missing teen found dead in a pool behind a home in Waukegan.

The Waukegan Police Department began the death investigation early Monday morning behind a house at 1327 North Jackson Street. The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene at 2:30 a.m.

Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper said that the body found has been identified as Lucio Cambray, 18, of Waukegan. Cambray has been missing since Christmas day.

“Notification was made to his family and our deepest condolences go out to them. This is an awful tragedy for his family and the community,” Dr. Cooper added.

An autopsy performed by the Lake County Coroner’s Office on Friday showed that there were no signs of trauma. The cause of death is still pending toxicology results and further investigation, Dr. Cooper said.

The house where Cambray’s body was found is the same one where a fire happened on December 4. Firefighters rescued a young woman; however, she later died at the hospital.
