Daniel A. Davis, 51, of Cary

A Cary man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed a family member in the forehead with a butcher knife on Tuesday.

Daniel A. Davis, 51, of 6305 Robert Road in unincorporated Cary, was charged Tuesday evening with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, which is a class 3 felony.

The Northwest Herald reported that Davis stabbed a male relative in the forehead with a butcher’s knife, according to court documents. The knife cut the victim’s head but did not cause serious injuries, police said.

No additional information has been released about what led to the stabbing. If convicted, Davis could face up to two to five years in prison.

Davis is currently being held at the McHenry County Jail on a $100,000 bond, which means he needs to post $10,000 bail to be released. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 18.
