Luis C. Lopez, 23, of Park City

The Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force arrested a Park City man who sold a gun to an undercover detective and was found in possession of drugs, sheriff’s officials said.

Luis C. Lopez, 23, of the 400 block of Sussex Court in Park City, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis and possession of a firearm without a FOID card.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that Lopez illegally sold a firearm to an undercover Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force detective. On January 12 an arrest warrant was issued for Lopez for unlawful sale of a firearm.

Later that day Lopez was pulled over by members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force. Police found cocaine and marijuana “both packaged in a manner consistent with the sale of narcotics” in his car, authorities said. Police also found another gun and illegal prescription medications.
