Two wanted men, a 50-year-old Oswego man and a 74-year-old Park City man, were arrested on warrants for sex charges involving minors, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
An arrest warrant was issued on January 24 for Thomas E. Zbyszynski, 74, of the 3400 block of Jen Avenue in Park City, on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The charges stem from a Lindenhurst Police Department investigation, sheriff’s officials said.
Zbyszynski was arrested without incident at his residence on Monday. He was transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains held. He is next scheduled to appear in court on February 22.
Authorities also said that an arrest warrant was issued on Monday for Christopher L. Blatchford, 50, of the 1300 block of Light Road, Oswego, for three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault. The charges stem from a Mundelein Police Department investigation, sheriff’s officials said.
On Tuesday, authorities found Blatchford inside of his residence where he was taken into custody without incident. Blatchford was transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains held. He is next scheduled to appear in court on February 28.
Both cases involve minors and are not related to each other, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
