Four lanes of the Tri-State Tollway were shut down following a crash and semi truck fire involving multiple semi trucks Tuesday morning in Gurnee.

The Illinois State Police said that a semi fire was reported on Interstate 94 in the southbound lanes near Milwaukee Avenue in Gurnee at around 10 a.m.

The Illinois State Police said that crews are cleaning up the crash and traffic was starting to get by on the left shoulder at 11:45 a.m. One of the semi trucks was carrying a load of paper which caused debris to scatter across the roadway.
