A Libertyville man and an Algonquin man have been arrested following a drug deal gone bad in which one of them pulled a gun.

Gian-Marco Guerrero, 19, of 131 West Ellis Avenue in Libertyville, is being charged with aggravated assault and Timothy M. Andrews, 30, of 1609 Longview Drive in Algonquin, is being charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

The Libertyville Police Department said that police were called on January 26 at 4:10 p.m. to Ellis Avenue and Wheeler Court for a report of a person threatening someone with a gun. The caller then reported to police that they saw a white vehicle with several men inside fleeing the scene southbound on Route 21.

Police spoke to several witnesses and looked at surveillance video from a nearby business which helped them identify the suspects, officials said. Investigators also determined it was a drug deal gone bad.
