Donald R. Franz, 51, of the 100 block of Surrey Lane in Lincolnshire

An investigation by the Lincolnshire Police Department and U.S. Postal Service led to the arrest of a Lincolnshire man who police said had over 350 Valium pills in his house.

Donald R. Franz, 51, of the 100 block of Surrey Lane in Lincolnshire, was arrested on Thursday and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, which is a class 4 felony.

Police began investigating in January and said that Franz had been ordering drugs on the Internet and having them shipped to his house.

With the assistance of the United States Postal Inspection Service, a search warrant was obtained for the residence on Surrey Lane, and it was executed on February 15,” the Lincolnshire Police Department said.

During the search, police arrested Franz after recovering over 350 Valium pills which were not prescribed to him. He was being held in the Lake County Jail on a $10,000 bond as of Friday. Franz is scheduled to appear in court next on February 23.
